This is me

I am a Peabody and Emmy Award-winning journalist and senior producer at CBS News, where I lead storytelling on politics, race, culture, and justice.

With nearly 20 years in broadcast news, I have produced groundbreaking reports on police brutality, environmental racism, and America's shifting political landscape. A proud daughter of Gary, Indiana, my work is deeply rooted in legacy, accountability, and healing.

I live in Washington, D.C., where I continue to tell the stories others try to silence — and to fiercely protect the ones who've always looked to me for safety.

I tell the truth, even when it hurts, and I help others do the same with care, clarity, and heart.

I turn real stories into real impact - on air, online, and in the world.

I believe storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have to build empathy, inspire action and uncover the truth.

For nearly two decades, I've reported from the front lines of America's most pressing conversations - covering everything from police brutality and environmental racism to resilience, grief, and joy within the Black experience.

But my work extends beyond the broadcast. Whether it's a camera lens or a keynote, I use my voice and writing to hold space - for the stories we've been told not to tell, and for the people who carry them,
